SportsAbility Expo returns to TCC on Friday

The Florida Disabled Outdoor Association's (FDOA) 18^th Annual SportsAbility Expo, an event promoting the quality of life for persons with disabilities through active living, takes place Thursday through Sunday, April 16-19. Tallahassee Community College is again lending its support by hosting activities on day two of the four-day event.

Following Thursday evening's kickoff event, the Active Leisure for Life Banquet, SportsAbility will move to TCC's Lifetime Sports Complex on Friday. Beginning at 10 a.m.,TCC will serve as host for SportsAbility's Indoor Activities and Resource Expo.

Students from TCC's Leisure Education Department organize the event, which features demonstration clinics including wheelchair and adaptive golf, tennis, basketball and other hands-on activities such as table tennis, disk golf and laser target shooting. Friday's schedule will also include a Resource Expo featuring programs, products and services of interest for people with disabilities.

SportsAbility continues with Outdoor Day on Saturday and a Power Soccer Clinic on Sunday.
