Florida Public Safety Institute to host Women's History Month brunch

March is Women's History Month and, as part of the month-long celebration, the Florida Public Safety Institute (FPSI), formerly known as the Pat Thomas Law Enforcement Academy (PTLEA), will host its third annual Women's History Month Brunch on Tuesday, March 24 in the PTLEA Dining Commons.
The brunch, celebrating the theme “Women in Criminal Justice: Proud Past, Bright Future,” is part of FPSI's Women's History in Criminal Justice Celebration.
Major Cheryl Stewart, Tallahassee Police Department, and Sergeant Dona Cormier, Retired, will be the guest speakers for the event.
Lieutenant Joani Chase, Tallahassee Police Department, will serve as the mistress of ceremonies.
The following local “celebrities” will be servers during the brunch: Chief Dennis Jones, Tallahassee Police Department; Chief David Perry, Florida State University Police Department; Chief E.E. Eunice, Tallahassee Community College Police Department; Colonel David Dees, Florida Department of Transportation, Secretary Walt McNeil, Florida Department of Corrections; Assistant Chief John Earst, Florida A&M University Police Department and Assistant Vice President Jim Murdaugh, Tallahassee Community College, Florida Public Safety Institute.
The morning's events will kick off with a meet and greet session at 8 a.m. followed by brunch at 8:30 a.m. and the program at 9 a.m.
The event is open to the public. Members of the media are also invited to attend.
