Celebrate the holidays with TheatreTCC!'s “A Christmas Carol”

TheatreTCC! continues its 2008-09 season at 8 p.m., Thursday, November 20 when “A Christmas Carol” hits the stage at Tallahassee Community College's Turner Auditorium for the first of six evening performances.

Additional show times are 8 p.m., November 21 and 22 and December 4-6. Turner Auditorium is located inside Tallahassee Community College's Fine & Performing Arts Center.

Thomas Cavano's theatrical adaptation captures the spirit of Christmas with the tale of friendship, charity and merriment. Under the direction of Krystof Kage, Charles Dickens' timeless holiday classic is brought to life by Ebenezer Scrooge, The Cratchit family and Tiny Tim, along with Christmases past, present and future.

Following “A Christmas Carol,” TheatreTCC!'s 2008-09 season will conclude with “Anything Goes” (April 9-11, 16-18).

TCC students, faculty and staff who have a valid ID are admitted to TheatreTCC! performances free of charge. Additionally, faculty and staff can bring a guest at no cost.

Tickets for “A Christmas Carol” can be purchased in advance by calling the FSU Fine Arts Ticket Office at (850) 644-6500 or at the door the night of the show. The Turner Auditorium Box Office opens at 7 p.m.

Tickets for the general public are $10 for adults, $7 for senior citizens and $5 for children and non-TCC students. Season tickets are also available for adults ($30) and senior citizens ($25). Groups of 10 or more also qualify for a discount: $5 per ticket for adults and senior citizens, $3 per ticket for children and non-TCC students. Special event nights are also available to groups.
