Dr. Stan DeHart

Posted By Marc T. Seals, Wednesday, April 29, 2009
Dr. Stan DeHart was the theatre professor for many years.  He was, in fact, one of the main reasons that I went to TCC.

Since leaving TCC, I have worked in an elementary school extended-day program (3 years), taught high school English (6 years), taught middle school Language Arts (3 years), and college English (10 years).  Dr. DeHart remains the finest teacher that I have every had or known.

He is funny, kind, and brilliant.  He connected with his students on a personal level.  I have many happy memories of playing spades or hearts with him in the TCC cafeteria.  His courses were among the most challenging that I have ever taken.  It was his advice that led me to pursue my own PhD.  I am where I am today in large part because of Stan DeHart.

Thank you, Stan DeHart.
