“My experiences at Tallahassee Junior College opened many doors for me.”

After graduating from Tallahassee Junior College, Lee Colson served in the US Navy, then worked as an engineer at WFSU-TV. In 1981, he earned his Bachelor's degree at Florida A&M University in Electronic Engineering and began working for the Florida Public Service Commission as Utility Systems/Communications Engineer. There, he authored a plan used to allocate territory between utilities and eliminate duplication of distribution facilities. He retired from the Commission in 2008.

 

Mr. Colson serves as a mentor to youth through his church. He has served on the TCC Alumni Association Board of Directors since 2004.
